My path started by sitting alongside my dad, an architectural enthusiast, at a drawing board designing houses. He was a small-town attorney who also taught me about estate planning and the meaningful way it helped families. I founded Lightsome Estate Concierge to make people’s lives easier by combining my superpowers of strategy, organization, client service and everything home.
Like many businesses, our services were born from personal challenges. First losing both my parents and as a result, owning a home several hours away that required a confidential, reliable caretaker.
Growing up, my dad was a small-town attorney who helped farmers with their taxes and post-death settlement. He taught me about estate planning and the meaningful way it helped families. When I learned of the After Loss Professional industry, I knew it was something special. Before that I spent decades in insurance, financial services and trust/wealth management, with experience leading led multi-year, multi-million-dollar projects and large teams.
My family has a background in real estate which turned into a passion for home building, design and Feng Shui–the ancient art of energy flow in a space. I truly believe we bring good energy, organization and alignment to all aspects of work for our clients.

The Chinese character for light inspired our logo.
There are two sides of the character, depicting a sunrise and day. Together, they create the meaning of light emerging.

An After Loss Professional is a trained service provider who performs organizational, logistical and estate administration services to help anyone charged with closing out an estate.
We are vetted through the industry trade organization PALS – Professionals of After Loss Services, and pass criminal background checks, carry professional insurance and have completed industry-specific training.
Home Watch services are designed to give you peace of mind while a home is unoccupied. The official definition of Home Watch is “A visual inspection of a home or property, looking for obvious issues.” Meaning, the property is being inspected by professionals looking for potential problems.
As Certified and Accredited members of the National Home Watch Association, we are required to uphold high ethical standards, have continuing education, go through a vetting process and pass accreditation every two years and certification annually. We use industry specific software and tools to document the condition of a property on a regular basis and keep critical data like alarm codes data secure.
Home management is all about proactive oversight of maintenance and home repairs so that a home — often one of the largest estate assets — keeps its value and can be easily transferred or sold during the estate or probate process.
